The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)
UL Fall Production
Co- directed with Megan Cramer, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) parodies all of Shakespeare's plays. It was originally written for only 3 actors, but The Galloway Theatre Company performed it with 22 actors! This hilarious comedy taught our actors not only about Shakespeare, but also about working together as an ensemble. We performed it as a 75 minute show and then cut it down to a 55 minute show to take to the GHSA One Act Competition (which we also hosted!). The cast & crew received the honor of Runner Up at the Competition as well as Best Supporting Actor of the entire district. The biggest honor of all was when we were selected to perform at the Georgia Thespian Conference in Columbus, Georgia. Shakespeare was an amazing experience and although the product turned out to be fantastic, it was the process that was truly rewarding.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
ML Musical
Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything as they vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the kids spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six hopeful spellers and their families enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
The first Galloway Jr. Company ML Musical was a huge success! These talented 6th, 7th & 8th graders had two performances, one for the 4th-6th grade classes and an evening sold out performance for friends and family! The outpouring of support and praise from parents and the community was so humbling!. The collaboration between the UL tech crew and the ML actors was a perfect example of what Galloway is all about.

Footloose
UL Spring Musical
Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago who moves to the small town of Bomont with his mother after his father abandons them. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including the Reverend Shaw. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing, which Ren finds unbelievable. With the help of the Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Willard (a country boy who becomes his best friend), Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all.
Co -directed with Megan Cramer, the collaboration to make this musical come to life was unbelievable. Here is an expert from our curtain speech:
"You know… it takes a village to produce a Musical. We talk a lot about collaboration and interdisciplinary goals at Galloway… this show is a living example of that. Design, construction, dance, band, singing, acting, sewing, sawing, painting, the sheer volume of MANUAL LABOR AND TALENT that has gone into this production is staggering--- Over 60 Upper Learning students, (and 2 Middle Learning students!), and over 10 faculty are involved in making this happen. You have a 20-page program because so many human beings have contributed -- with their bodies and minds and talents -- to this show."
